Cancellation Policy


New bookings*

Any new bookings made for travel up until 30 September 2021 will be allowed to be held on a provisional basis until 48 hours before arrival.


Existing online bookings*:

Any guest with a booking in place may postpone their booking up to 30 September 2021 with no penalties.

Should a guest be required to postpone due to being in contact with, or confirmed positive for COVID-19, no penalties will apply. 


*Please note: Does not apply to group bookings or event bookings


Please note: A 20% non-refundable deposit applies to all ‘Pay at Your Pace‘ payment plan bookings.

Mdluli Safari Lodge reserves the right to charge the following cancellation fee, should a confirmed reservation be cancelled within the following period: 

If cancelling 30 – 22 days before arrival 35 %

If cancelling 21 – 15 days before arrival 40%

If cancelling 14 – 8 days before arrival 65%

If cancelling 7 – 3 days before arrival 80%

If cancelling From 2 days before arrival and no-shows 100%

The provision of goods and services by Mdluli Safari Lodge is subject to availability. In the event of unavailability the client will be refunded in full within 30 days. Cancellation of orders by the client will attract a 35% administration fee.

We require full payment 72 hours before departure

Cancellations received after payment has been made will incur a 10% cancellation fee

Cancellations received less than 12 hours before departure will incur a 100% cancellation fee

In the event of a cancellation where a third party are involved, the cancellation policy of the service provider will apply

Child Policy

Children 0 – 6 No charge for dinner, bed and breakfast (lunch and beverages not included)

Children 7 – 12 Years pay 50% of the Adult Sharing Rate for dinner, bed and breakfast (lunch and beverages not included)

Children above 12 years pay the full Adult Rate, dinner, bed and breakfast (lunch and beverages not included)


We reserve the right to change, modify, add to or remove from portions or the whole of these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Changes to these Terms and Conditions will become effective upon such changes being posted to this website.

Governing Law

All terms and conditions set out on are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that State or location.

In line with Government and hospitality industry regulations, we have made sure to leave no stone unturned to ensure safety and impeccable cleanliness throughout the lodge and its facilities – front and back of house.

Rest assured, we have spared no details in ensuring safe hygienic surroundings for our guests, and our team. With all the safety precautions in place, you are free to kick back and relax, and allow all your stresses to fade away.

Our brand new lodge is uniquely designed in that:
Each luxury tent is positioned at a distance of at least 15m from the adjacent tent, with a private access walkway and private patio.
The open architecture of the public areas allows for fresh air flows and expansive spaces to be very comfortably socially distanced from other guests.
