Mdluli Safari Lodge sits inside Kruger National Park, offering Big 5 sightings without leaving the property. Rooted in successful land reform and community upliftment, it pairs eco-conscious tented accommodation, an infinity pool and boma dining with genuine, values-led hospitality – a distinctive alternative to standard luxury lodges.

Mdluli Safari Lodge is located inside the south-western region of Kruger National Park, about a 5-hour drive from Johannesburg. Unlike lodges in private reserves bordering the Park, Mdluli sits directly within Kruger’s fenceline, so wildlife can be seen right from the lodge.

Mdluli Safari Lodge offers 50 custom-designed, 70sqm tents blending eco-conscious design with safari-style luxury. Each includes an oversized patio, private indoor and outdoor shower, king or twin bed, mini bar fridge and Wi-Fi. Four tents are disability-friendly, and the lodge is fully wheelchair accessible.

Guests can enjoy many experiences, including guided or self-drive Big 5 game drives, boma dinners, a signature infinity pool and a granite rock viewpoint with 360-degree Park views. Additional experiences include gin-tasting, bush braais and Amani spa treatments, suiting both active and relaxed itineraries.

Mdluli Safari Lodge suits families, couples, solo travellers and small groups. Tents sleep two adults and two children under 12, and the lodge also hosts special events like bush weddings and conferences. Wheelchair-accessible tents and flexible packages make it suited to a wide range of guests.
